I have cubital tunnel syndrome and have been told that I should have surgery to displace the ulnar nerve in both arms. I have been waiting two months for work comp to approve the surgery. Wen tto the doctors again two days ago and net with the Assistant Physician and he looked at me seriously and said I need to tell you that most patients don't stop feeling pain after the surgery and the numbness deosn't go away. He said he was telling me this because he didn't want me to come back and saying "why didn't anyone tell me". The two surgeons I met with said most patients recoevr with no more pain after this procedure so this was the first time hearing this. After reading ths board and others experience I don't want the surgery and have told my attorney as well and why. I return to the doctors in two weeks and will have to tell them I don't want the surgery. What happens with workmans comp? Since they are always trying to prove you are lieing will they use this against me later? I know I don't have to have the surgery and it is up to me and I can have my attorney request the medical stay open should there be a settlement. Just nervous about my new decision and standing firm. Please help........
