I had severe compression of the ulnar nerve at my left elbow a year and half ago. Prior to surgery I experienced similar symptoms-- pins n' needles, numbness etc. I also experienced the twitching, jumping around of my little, ring fingers etc. Not sure what causes this maybe the nerve being compressed and not being able to send signals as easily?
Have you gone for a nerve conduction test or seen a hand specialist about this?
A nerve conduction test will pinpoint where the nerve is compressed and how severe. Not all hand surgeons use this test , some simply go by the patients symptoms.
I know before I had surgery they tried conservative treatments such as physiotherapy, wrapping my elbow in a towel at night in a jelly roll style to keep your arm straight. They say bending your arm constantly, leaning on your elbow, or sleeping with your arm bent under a pillow at night puts pressure on the nerve.
I would see a doctor about this. Good luck! Keep us updated!
