Redsox - hi, it's been a while since you posted but I think I might have an answer for you. I was just doing web research on carpal tunnel, and found info on something called "cubital tunnel syndrome".
The ulnar nerve lies along the "funny bone" in your elbow. Pressure or repetitive pressure will irritate this nerve and potentially cause cubital tunnel syndrome. It results in pain, numbness and tingling in the ring and baby finger of the specific arm. And in your case, I'll bet it had nothing to do with you tweaking your wrist, but was from the repeated bending and straightening of your elbow.
Search "cubital tunnel syndrome" on the web and see what you think. If you are still pitching, make sure you ice your elbow, not your wrist, on and off for 15 minutes or so. Then see your doc right away because - believe me - you do not want this to become chronic.
If you need a referral, the type of docs who look after this are either neurologists, or even more specifically, hand and upper limb specialists/surgeons. Most larger cities have a hand and upper limb clinic associated with either neurology or plastic surgery. Or maybe in your case, a referral to a sports clinic would be a good start.
