Hi All! I have had something new happening to me that hasn't happened before. My hands feel nervous. I feel like blood maybe rushing to them alot or perhaps not enough. It's weird. They get sweaty and I guess tingly. I don't know. But last night I had a shooting pain from my wrist and it went to my middle finger on my right hand. It felt stabbing. It kind of scares me. I haven't had this happen before. I should explain that I am a massage therapist and I am also a piano player. Not to mention being online typing alot. Last year I went through some physical therapy for my hands and forearms and I even wore wrist guards for awhile. BUt I have never had the nervous hand feeling and sweaty..tingly thing. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Please help. Thanks!

Your symptoms don't list as classic carpal tunnel, however, there are so many forms of hand issues, nerve trauma, you must already know this. If you are in pain ( a lot ) have yourself checked out. Repetitve Stress Injuries as you also know cause their own fair share of hand problems. Hang in there and take care of yourself!

I had cts, then surgery, then a relapse. I had to do physical therapy and discussed a similar problem with my pt guy. I was getting shooting "feelings" in my hands that were like tingles or even a small tremor. I asked him if this is due to the nerves sending messages in the wrong areas and he said yes. The nerve is cramped and the message from the brain to the hand tries to get through and it has a hard time so the message goes somewhere else. I think that's what's happening to you.

Thanks everyone! I have been wearing my wrist guards. When I do the symptoms subside. But when I don't and I work out or do a massage one someone (I am an LMT, I think I mentioned that) I get a weird tingly almost nervous sensation. Then it turns to a shoot pain in the middle of my hand and goes up to my middle finger. Odd! Sometimes it feels deep inside. I am not sure how much time off to give myself off to let things heal up. I have jobs that require using my hands. I am a LMT and a piano player and of course typing online. lol Thanks for any help that anyone wants to offer.
