| Re: Carpal Tunnel
I've had cts and surgery was in 2005 on both hands. Then I had a relapse. I had to physical therapy which was helping until my mom broke her hip and then my time was devoted to helping her. Hope this helps you. Wear splints to sleep in. You'll hate them, but it may help. Never carry or lift anything heavy. Do stretches with your hands. Put your arms flat on a table and put palms together like you're praying. Now press your palms together while pushing down on your wrists. Aleve will help some, but it can also hurt your kidneys over a long period of time. You may be able to find stretching exercises online if you go to a search engine. Type in hand stretches. Try to have good posture. I read that posture plays a role in carpal tunnel, or so they think.
Good luck. --Jo
