Celiac Disease Testing, Wait Time

Yesterday I had blood drawn to check for Celiac Disease at my GI's request. That and to check for any inflammation etc.

For others who have had the blood tests done, how long did it take to receive your results back?

Thanks!

blood tests are not acurate for testing..at all but, it may take awhile 4 to 6 weeks..the biopsie is what you need to do..

Re: Celiac Disease Testing, Wait Time

Mario, as I am sure you can understand doctors are not going to hop on something too invasive until they have a better understanding of what the condition might be. And since my symptoms aren't screaming anything specific, they are holding off and will proceed with a biopsy if necessary. I have however heard a few days for the blood test results to come back from other places. I think it all depends on the lab its sent to. Considering this is likely to be in house, I certainly hope its sooner.
Thanks.
