| Not Celiac Disease, Allergies? Since I first got pregnant with my oldest son seven years ago, I have vomited more days than not. I also have a hard time concentrating, have dizzy spells, body aches, headaches, short of breath, rib pain, and esophagitis from vomiting so much. I have been through more tests than I care to remember.
In December I had a sprue panel done to check for Celiac Disease. The doctor called and told me that I had it but refused to send me for a scope to confirm it. I switched doctors and had the scope, which was negative. The blood test was a weak positive. Only one number was elevated. Transglutaminase Iga was 4.5, under 4 is considered normal and 4 to 10 is a weak positive.
Someone mentioned to me that perhaps it is a food allergy. I stopped eating gluten for two weeks, unintentionally stopped eating some of the things that I would eat with bread or pasta like cheese and tomato, and stopped vomiting. Still felt crummy but improved.
My questions are, does this sound like it could be food allergies? Would that cause the elevated Transglutimanase Iga? Can anyone relate to any of this. Thanks |
