I wanted to post some of my symptoms in hope that someone, who is familiar with Celiac, could tell me if my symptoms sound like Celiac.
I have had stomach issues for years now, mainly chronic gastritis. I have been on Nexium for a number of years now for this.
Over the last number of months I have developed neurological issues such as random muscle twitching and tingling. I also have some chronic oral thrush and dry mouth that will not go away with treatment.
Other symptoms include constipation, brain fog, occasional rashes/itching, waking up tired as if I hadn't slept at all, and unusual dreams. Unusual not in the sense of nightmare but vivid and exhausting.
I am in my early thirties and have tested for Vitamin D deficiency (forgot level) and mild iron deficiency. I also have blood traces in my urine. Also, I have yeast antibodies found in blood. Those are the only abnormal readings.
I hope to be tested in the future but would appreciate any of you that have experience with this giving me some info!

Reason: More info added.
you need to have a serology for celiac drawn first- if thaat come back abnorm then they will biopsy for cceliac via endoscopy-celiac is very tiny an cannot be seen w human eye' only dx via microscopic view of biopsies- my 15 son was just x w/ celiac his only symptom was one week he had pain after swallowing foodd- so now he must remain gluten free to prevent small bowel/damage n other problems
the best way to give an indication if its celiacs is to go on a gluten free diet for two weeks,if the symptoms ease then its likely to be celiacs,
this is the first thing the doctor is likely to do anyway
Weird because I have had the exact symptoms as you and they cannot figure out the problem. I have had all the regular blood work such as anemia, blood sugar, mono, thyroid etc. but all back normal. A few x-rays as well which came back normal. I thought my sleep was causing this as well because I had a hard time sleeping and still do. Waiting on results from sleep study and ultrasound. See a gastro specialist and tell them your issues and they should be able to help.
I had all of these symptoms for years before finding I was Celiac. Warning...most typical blood tests for celiac are onlyabout 75% accurate and for many it take actual months of being truly gluten free...ie not even cross contamination...to see alleviation of symptoms. Some, like myself, actually get worse before we start getting better. Everyone is different to some degree. Best bet test for it, if its positive great you have your answer...if its negative and no other lab work is showing other ailments then try a strict gluten free diet for a solid 3-6 months...if not getting better by then you can may be safe to assume its not celiac... ps some also are effected by oats, even gluten free oats...for me they make me even sicker than wheat...good luck!
@bo, did you ever get tested? I am curious about your situation as I also am anemic (came back but ferritin has always been single digit for yrs and yrs). Just tested severely Vit D def 2 months ago (on D supps and getting sun when i can). Sub-clinical hypoT for yrs. Was able to get treated for that 2 wks ago with levoT. So it seems like we have the same issues (anemia, hypoT, & Vit D def).
I would like to get tested next month when i re-test my TSH levels. I just read in a book that gluten does cause problems w/ anemia/hypoT/osteoporosis and i was stunned. Also, the book noted that if one has high (i have been having high/over range) EOS then *definitely * test for it. Well, since i've had hay fever/allergies for yrs...i never thought anything of it when my tests for yrs has been hi for EOS. My nasal rhinitis this yr has gotten really bad.
