I had an EGD on Wednesday 12/12/12. The doctor took a biopsy of my duodenum saying he saw not a lot of folds and that is a sign if celiac disease.
My question is whether or not it's normal to have this pain in my upper right abdomen following this? It's a sharp pain it'll last about a thousand 1 a thousand 2, then go away. It happens sort of randomly for about a couple minutes of the day then does away. I had this pain the night of the procedure, the following Thursday, NOT Friday, and then Saturday after waking up a few times now it's gone.
Wondering if its from taking a biopsy or not. Any help or tips appreciated.
Extra note: tried calling my GI place messages were full. The pain isn't excruciating by any means, just sort of random quick and sharp. Just wondering if its normal to have some pain like this at the site of a biopsy had no pain like this until after EGD. No other signs of perforation either. No bleeding or bad constant pain or fever.
