Fast before blood test for Celiac?
 

Do I need to fast before a blood test that is testing for celiac disease?

I plan to go to a night clinic that opens at 6pm so trying to figure out whether or not fasting is necessary.

Also, to note, I want them to check other things (glucose, cystic fibrosis, or pancreatitis) since all my symptoms seem to be very similar to the aforementioned diseases.

No need to fast for anything, but a glucose is best done 2 hrs or more after eating, otherwise it may come back elevated.

Actually, you need to eat gluten so they can test for antibodies against the protein. If you fast beforehand, you may get a false negative.
