My baby boy is 3 1/2 months old and has cp. My husband and I wanted anywhere from 2 to 4 children. And we are thinking about trying for baby #2 in the fall. does anyone have kids this close in age and one has cp? I love being a mom and it is stressful going to the doctors and therapists so often,but I want my baby to know the love and joy of having a brother or sister. thanks for your replies in advance.

If you're ready to have another child, it's not too soon. It's really about whether you two feel the time is right. Go where your hearts lead you.

Hi randadell,

My two little ones are 1 year and 9 months apart. My son is 4 and my daughter is 2 1/2. She has hemiparesis cp.

I'm very happy that me and my husband had them at a close age. It's fun to watch them play because you can tell they love each other. Even though they have completely different personalities, they enjoy being around each other. They are like two peas in a pod

. But they still get into their little spats like all siblings do.

The only bad thing about having two kids at close age is not having much free time, but I think that is just because both kids are young right now.

So I agree with the others... do what you feel in your heart. I wish you the best.

I have a brother who is 18 months older than I , and a sister who is 3 years younger. I have spastic hemiparesis CP... I am 54
