My daughter was born with clubfoot and has cerebral
plasy also. For clubfoot, she has been operated twice
but for CP, it is not possible to get further
treatment here in Pakistan. She was born on 3rd Nov.
1998 and now she is about 28 months old. She cant
speak properly, stand and walk her own. While trying
to stand, she drops due to internal rotation of legs
from hips. Please read the following assessment of her
physio. We are interested in treatment in USA. Please
guide us what to do? And also keep in mind that I am a
low earning person and cant afford the higher costs.
Children have no cost, color or religion. Please help
us.


PHYSIO. ASSESSMENT


Fatima d/o Aleem Niazi has Bilateral TEV with
surgical correction. When I examined the child, I
found that feet are quite well; there was no marked
inversion of forefeet. In standing & walking with
supports, child was maintaining internal rotation of
legs. Child had history of delayed mildstones. On
further examination postural tone in lower extremities
is found to be slightly increased.

According to my assessment this child is basically a
mild case of cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia) with
following complaints;

1. In lower extremity slightly increased tone in hip
flexors, hamstrings plant flexors, adductors and
internal rotators of hips.

2. Child usually likes to sit in W sitting position.
cant use long sitting with legs straight.

3. In standing with bilateral AFOs, she still poses a
lot of internal rotation of both legs, which is a main
problem at this stage.

4. Is there any support/brace, which can maintain
moderate external rotation at hips during
standing/walking?
