Last Comic Standing—Josh Blue—Anyone watch it? - Cerebral Palsy Message Board

I've been trying to watch it since day one; I was a fan, back when John Heffron won (I think that was season 2.) Anyway, Josh Blue is now in the final TWO! (For those who don't know/watch Josh is 27 and has been doing stand up since college, has athetoid CP and plays soccer for the US Para-Olympic team. His CD is called, "Good Josh, Bad Arm." It's been interesting to watch him over the last few weeks, I don't think I've ever met anyone with athetoid CP, mostly the people I know are spastic, or spastic/ataxic—In fact they all are.

Anyway, most of his jokes are about having cerebral palsy, but he's still funny. Kind of like there are a lot of comics who write jokes soley about their race. It really doesn't bother me, but I know some people have complained about it. I guess I don't care because I can relate.

Well, the final show is going to run on NBC tomorrow from 8pm EST to 9:30pm EST. I really hope he wins. *crosses all crossables*

Yep... we've been watching his performances and voting for him during the last few weeks. He is great! I wish I could get around as well as he does... he jumped off the four-foot stage last night, no problem!

You're kidding, right??!! I totally missed that. Yeah, wish I could do that!! I guess he was also riding his bike when the drunk tank picked him up, too. Definitely, not riding a bike over here either!!

You know, I never really understood why it is so frustrating to hear someone else say that people who talk about their race are pulling the "race card" until I heard about this comedian who talks about his disability. We talk about something because it is our experience, not because we are trying to pull sympathy by using a "race card" or a disability "card." Just what I've learned from this, I haven't actually seen the show, but I should.

I think he is hilarous. I dont see anything offenive with his jokes about CP. People who have CP who get offened with his jokes have 0% sence of humor. Exploting CP is funny for a comidy Rotine . <---- My opinon

Carlos Mencia who is a ablebody who has no disabilty makes funny jokes about CP that makes sence. He dont make real offenive ones ether.

So I think Josh could win.
