Okay, so the thread title is vauge, but I'm rather proud of myself, for today was the first day I ever plucked my eye brows and I actually did it without taking my eye out.
I wanted to share, because I know a few girls with CP who don't do such things because they can't or think they can't. If you can't, you should definitely have someone do it for you. And let me tell you, I'm sure you have a willing girl friend, sister or cousin who would gladly jump on it. (At least I know my cousin was almost out of her skin wanting to do it, lol)
So, I dunno what possessed me but this afternoon I looked in the mirror and said, I think I should get a mirror and tweezers and just do it.
This evening when I went upstairs to my cousin's, she was laying down her son and I was watching some show about crop circles and I just went over to the cabinet grabbed her tweezers and a hand held magnification mirror thought out my plan for two seconds sat on the edge of the couch and nearly took out my eye.
So I decided sitting in the corner of the couch (one elbow braced up on the arm and the other elbow braced on the back of the couch) would be best so I'd have somewhere for my shakes to be absorbed and plucked my right eye with my right hand in about 10 minutes.
Then my cousin came in and freaked... lol (I guess I scare them with sharp objects!) And insisted she get 4 I "missed" I let her and went at my left. Which is were it got complicated.
I could not pluck the underside with my right hand, absoultely could not. And took 30 minutes just to figure out how to hold the tweezers in my left. THEN I figured out that if I bent my arm over my head and plucked from above... it worked. And after an hour I have BEAUTIFULLY tame eyebrows and they make me feel very very very girlie. I highly recommend doing so if I'm not the last person on Earth to have done this
