surgery or Botox?
I went to the doctor on Monday about my left knee problem. I have pain in my hamstring muscles as well as pain around my kneecap. The doctor told me that Botox injections or surgery were my two best options. If I would have the Botox injections, the doctor said that would probably only help the hamstring muscles. Another thing that concerned me about trying Botox is that he told me that if I am extra sensitive to the Botox, I would lose the ability to walk until the Botox wore off. Has anyone ever heard of that happening or has it happened to you? Right now, I am leaning toward doing the hamstring lengthening surgery because they can release the tension behind my knee and they can also fix the problem with the kneecap cartilage. I'm sorry this was so long, but I have seen how much we can help each other on the board. I thought I would see if any of you could give me any input about your experiences.
Thanks in advance!
