I hope you can get the answers you need. I remember that my son couldn't hold his head up for awhile and had trouble sitting, too. They told us to put him on his tummy a lot to strengthen his neck. I think we had him try to reach up and out infront of him for things, too. I can't remember what we did to help him sit. Keep us posted on how you're doing!

I am so sorry. I can't even imagine how frustrating this must be for you having no where to go for a proper diagnosis or treatment. You are doing the right thing by reading all you can, and looking for support on message boards like this. Maybe someone out there will see your message and have some ideas for you. I wish you had access to a medical facility that could provide you with some answers as to what the problem is. I only hope you have family around to help.
Like the other lady said, starting with lying on belly is probably a good first step to strengthen the muscles.
hello

Has he been to see a specialist about his eyes? Do you have a place like that where you live?
no i did not cuz neurologist said that there is no need to go to an eye doctor cuz they cant help u to this matter, but as i visited some sites regarding cerebral palsy i studied there that these childrens may have visual impairment and there is a treatment ,you tell me should i go to an eye doctor ?plz suggest me cuz i also think that how can he learn if he cant observe ...
Hi, I read further and noticed your son having eye problems. My little boy has big brown eyes that are just beautiful and he uses them to get what he wants even as a little baby. One day he looked up at me with his eyes crossed. I called his speech therapist right away as we had become great friends. She said sometimes the muscles in the eyes are weak and that it was probably nothing. I did worry though because he was suppose to be blind in the first place. He did work it out and now many years later he will cross his eyes just to get me to laugh. Don't give up keep showing him lots of things and pictures, especially black and white pictures (funny hugh?) but that is suppose to help the eye focus, and maybe if you can have him follow these things with his eyes to strengthen the eye muscles.
God Bless!
Hi there,
My son has what they call a lazy eye where his eyes cross. His eye dr. said if he wears his bifocals til he's 9 or 10 years old, the crossing will be fixed and he won't need them anymore. Not sure from your description if it's lazy eyes or something else. When he was younger, the Dr. had us put a patch over his strong eye for a couple of hours every day to strengthen the lazy eye.
