| need help!
hi
i am 19 years old and was diagnosed with a mild case of cerabal palsy sp, a month ago. my questions are do you thing this sounds like cp and would a hip knee ankle foot orthotic help me and is anyone my age in the same situation.
my symptoms are; numbness in right leg only, tight achilles chords both feet, muscle spasms in both legs, clicky hips, i have lost function in my right leg, pain from my lower back to right leg to foot. i have had clonis in both feet, hyperreflexivity, peripheral neuropathy, foot drop.
i have had many surgeries including; acilles tendon lengthining in both feet, bridal tendon transfer in right leg, nerve graft in right leg and many other minor surgeries.
i don't have any problems in my upper body or with brain function. my neurologists want me to werar a hkafo. is this going to help because they look heavy and scary.
i am really in need of help i apreaciate any info you can provide.
