Hip Surgery Help....

I am 33 years old and have just recently found out that the ball of my hip joint is completely deteriorated. There is nothing there but bone to bone. The pain is very severe and is getting worse every day. Doctors suggest total hip removal or fusion. I am wheel chair bound and am wondering if anyone else with CP has gone through this type of thing as well? How long should I expect recovery to take since Physical Therapy will be limited? Is there any home remedies I can be doing in the mean time to help with the pain? Is anyone else on here with CP functioning day to day without their hip?

Thank you to anyone who responds,

Shawn.
