Sdr

Hi
Anyone out there had or their child had the SDR procedure? Its relativly new in the UK but I am aware they've been doing it for a while in St Louis, I know also the UK version is more selective than what they do in St Louis.
Its an option for our son so I was looking for peoples views and opinions.
Many Thanks
Basswife.

Re: Sdr

Hi,
I'm over here in Australia and my son goes through Brisbane for his cp needs. They used to do SDR but stopped doing the procedure as it wasn't considered to be benefitting the children enough to be worth doing. I suppose it is all individual though and results can widely vary. I'm undecided on the matter and I think if I was to do any procedures I was looking at stem cell therapy but it is so much in it's infancy that we'd need to wait a while for the technology to advance. for now we are doing lots of pt and surgery.
