Wink Tibia derotational surgery

Hi, just wondering if anyone has had this and how old they were. My son had a bilateral femoral derotational last year and completely recovered within 6 months. But now has marked internal rotation from his tibia. Not sure if the Ortho will agree to more surgery (my son is only 8 1/2) or if we will have to wait until he cannot walk. Any experiences similar to this I'd love to hear about.
