Chemotherapy Drug?

I Just Got Back From The Dr's. My Hcg Levels Still Have Not Gone Down And She Told Me To Have Another Blood Test On Wednesday. If The Number Is Still Low Like It Is That She'll Give Me A Low Dose Of A Chemotherapy Drug That Will Make Me Have Another Period. If The Number Is High I'll Have To Have A D&c.
Has Anyone Else Had This Chemo Drug, How Did You Feel Physically Afte Ryou Had It, Any Side Effects?

Re: Chemotherapy Drug?

Dear BooBear,
First off I would like to ask you if you are having a miscarriage or an eptopic pregnancy? I have had the chemo shots from an eptopic pregnancy. Not wanting to scare you but for me it was horrible. I had to take 2 seperate doses. With the first dose, I had a few headaches, and some nasuea. When I went back to the doctor and he ordered another shot, I went home that day with the worst feeling of being tired and I had no energy. I vomitted several times a day, for a week straight, had diahrrea, I laid on the couch without energy not even being able to take care of the children I have been blessed with. I am really praying for you that things look better for you by next week. I have also had a d & c and to tell the truth, it was better for me than the chemo shots. But that is, of course, my opinoin. So, I hope that I have answered your question. I really am hoping things are better for you.

Sincerely,
Amanda

Re: Chemotherapy Drug?

The Dr Is Said I Had A Miscarriage But Still Have Some Tissue Left, However She's Not Sure If It's In The Uterus Or In The Fallopian Tube. After The Blood Test On Wednesday She'll Be Able To Tell More. She Said If My Hcg Number Is Low She'll Give Me The Shot, It's It's High She'll Probably Have To Do A D&c.

Re: Chemotherapy Drug?

Ok, Now I've Had A D&c, Had The Methotrexate Drug And My Numbers Still Aren't Going Down. The Dr. Believes The Tissue Is In One Of My Tubes. I Had A Ultrasound That Was Clean As Well. So She's Going To Wait Another Week To See If They Go Down, If Not She'll Have To Go In And See If She Can See Something In One Of My Tubes.

Has This Happened To Anyone?
