| Cervical Cancer Treatment: Cisplatin versus carboplatin Chemotherapy
My sister has been diagnozed with stage IIB cervical/uterus cancer- Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
She has been recommended radio therapy (Total 50 Gray divided in equal dosage- 5 days a week for 4 weeks) And Chemotherapy of Weekly Carboplatin Dosage.
Questions:
1) Which is preferred Chemotherapy Carboplatin or Cisplatin? Is there is an advantage of one versus other.
2) Is it possible to switch from Carboplatin to Cisplatin and vice versa?
3) How about Radio Therapy Dosage? Any recommendation
4) Is her treatment on right trek or something doesnt fit?
5) Any other feedback?
She just started today on Radio Therapy and is scheduled for first Chemotherapy tomorrow.
