Headaches in children - Children's Health Message Board

My Eleven year old and 17 year old are both complaining of severe headaches, to the point that they sometimes throw up. This is happening aleast 3 times a week. They have CAT scans and MRIs. These test show nothing wrong. Could tension and or depression be the cause? Has anyone dealth with something like this before? They also sleep the whole day. They both seem to be getting along with their peers. Grades are starting to suffer because of the school missed.

Sounds similar to Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Do you have a detector in your house?

Thanks for your reply. Yes we do have a carbon monoxide detector.

Just because you have a detector doesn't mean it's working right. I've seen shows where they test them and a lot of them either didn't work or didn't work properly (ie went off when the levels were way too high). Do they get headaches anywhere but at your house? they could be suffering from migranes. But you should get your house checked out, call your fire department and see if they'll come and check out your house, and check your detector and other things for you. I know the fire department will do that sort of thing here, but if they don't do that in your area then they should know who will do that for you.
