Red face How can I get my son to drink milk?

I have a 12 yr old who gives me a hard time when I tell him or ask him to drink milk...Its not that he doesnt like it, he really does, and he'll drink it when he isnt lazy about it....but how can I get him to drink it daily? He is soooo skinny, and doesnt take his vitamin everyday, even tho I remind him...Its a chewable good tasting vitamin, but he is just plain lazy...I see him a little pale...I asked him many times if he felt ok, he says yes, and just keeps playing. When i take him to his check up the doc says hes fine, but he really looks sallow and pale and real thin..I know hes needing calcium since he doesnt drink milk much...maybe once in a blue moom....but his skinnyness worries me, because hes not drinking milk or taking the vitamins....any suggestions? thanks

As long as you are supplying healthy meals for your son, I would not push him too hard. He should be getting calcium in other foods such as cheeses, yogurts, anything you are baking or cooking when you use milk in the ingredients. How about using brown cow or something similar in the milk to get him to drink more?

lacking calcium won't make him pale...it's iron that usually causes children to be pale. I wouldn't worry too much about the calcuim he's taking in, he can get it from cheese, yogurt, veggies. Are you there with him when he eats breakfast? give him his vitamin at the same time every day, add it to your routine, that way he can't forget it. Also, about him being skinny, i've got a very skinny son, but he eats lots and he's got lots of energy, i'd look at the overall picture when it comes to his health, not just his weight. Weight is a key factor, but some people are just ment to be skinny, unless he's had a dramatic weight loss you should try not to worry.
just give him healthy choices for meals and snacks and he'll be ok.

I agree as long as he is getting his calcium from other sources ..ie...Cheese, Yogart, and certian Vegtables. He may be having a reaction to the milk or be like many other adults and just not care for milk.
