Question AlexisK1

Hello AlexisK1
you posted a reply on a message that I left regarding getting baby to sleep.

I'm not a doctor - but I don't think that any baby should have his/her nurishment so radically changed like that. It's not healthy - and it's hard on babies digestive system - why do you think they tell you to start foods gradually - vegetables ( one at a time for three days at least to make sure about allergies) for about 6 weeks, then fruit - same routine as vegetables then by babies first birthday start on the meats. No eggs until after 1 year.

I would call my doctor to get a referral for another doctor for your "friend" I would explain what you've told us - and see what the next steps to be taken are.

You could tell your "friend" that what she is doing is "child endangerment" and she should look into getting another doctor because this sounds horribly tramautic for that poor baby!

Personally - if it was my "friend" - I would threaten her on behalf of the health of her children (Childrens Aid Society) {I would just threaten to see if it would smarten her up}

It's horrible that the father is just standing by and not doing anything - doesn't he care about his children???

When my second child wouldn't sleep - I tried to "ferberize" him - where you put the baby down and let them cry - we didn't last very long because it's horrible to hear your child in such agony - yelling and screaming does NOT make for a happy or healthy baby.

I would try talking to the mother first - then if nothing changes - talk to her family - then her doctor - then NO CHOICE LEFT - if nobody is willing to help these children - you need to get help for them.

I hope everything turns out ok for these babies sakes! God love them!
Please keep us posted about what happens

Peace

Angry

Thank you for responding so fast. The mother of baby always makes appointments with doctor or calls when the father is at work. This problem has caused two families to completing slip. The fathers family tried everything when this was being done with the first child. They have exhausted all attempts. The mothers now treatens her family to, telling them to mind their own business unless they to want to be shut off from the children. The fathers family again with the new baby has tried to get appointment for consultation with this pedicatrician & also calling. He refuses on grounds of patient confidentiality. Do you think if the fathers family writes annomous letters, telling this doctor what the mother claims she was told by her, that the doctor would read them? The father of the children has been spoken to by many family members & all were told by him that his wife would never lie about the pediatricians advise. Everyone told him to go in the past on doctors visits & everytime appointment was made his wife cliamed that one reason or another the doctors office would change appointments. So to date this father has never been to doctor with his children. Geez everyone is heart sick for this baby and the other child.

Talking

The doctor has to talk to the father. He should make an appt. to see the doctor and straight out ask him what is going on. The children are at risk with what the mother is doing! She knows it, that is why she is cutting everyone off. The father doesn't even have to have the kids with him - just go for a visit to discuss the methods that he has been telling the mother.

Honestly - I would tell the mother that I'm going to contact childrens services and find out what they have to say. This might make her defensive - but it might wake her up to the fact that people think that she is endangering her babies!!!!

Please keep us posted.
good luck

Peace
