I pray that nothing is seriously wrong and there probably isn't. However, having said that, you know your child. You may be a first time mom but you know your child best. I say this because I had problems with my kids when they were babies.
My son used to do what you described. The dr's wanted me to feed him pure butter to try to "fatten" him up since he was spitting up all his milk. Turns out he was SEVERELY allergic to milk. We switched to soy and he was fine.
My youngest daughter also had the same problem of spitting up and not eating much. Turned out she had a malrotation of her bowels and ended up having surgery. (I doubt anything like this is wrong - very rare)
The point is that you have to fight for your child cause no one else will. Ask your dr. for a referral to a pediatrician. Or, most hospitals have a feeding clinic, ask them. Tell your dr. you are upset about it and want some reassurance. Don't let the dr. intimidate you. They don't know everything despite what some of them want you to think. lol
Hopefully it's just an upset stomach and it will work itself out quickly! Good luck and keep us posted.
