While changing my 16-month-old baby girl's clothes, I found a small lump in her chest. It seemed to be on her lower rib toward the center of her chest. We're taking her to the doctor to get it checked on Wednesday, but until then, my mind is going crazy thinking the worst. She seems to be in good health otherwise. What kind of benign thing could this be? I'm so scared. . . .

The doctor said it's just a normal rib attachment, part of her rib. Thank goodness! Anytime you find something which you perceive to be abnormal, I would suggest getting it checked out. Better safe than sorry!

My son also had this as a toddler and now at 11 yrs old, he still does. I found another lump last night about the size of a BB near his shoulder...I took him today and the dr said it was fine, just the way his bones are.
