newborn without anus
My nephew's baby girl was born 2 weeks ago without an anus. Her poop came from right beside her vagina opening. they did surgery and moved everything back to where it should be. Anyone with any experience with this?? She's doing well and thriving, but i have never known a child to be born with this.

My mom new someone who's daughter was born without an anus and she was actually put on a colostomy until she was like 2 years old. That was many years ago though, I'm sure things have changed by now. Anyway, the point is, she's a perfectly healthy adult now. I'm glad to hear it was fixed quickly.

My first grandson was born with this just 3 days ago. He's already had his colostomy and will need to have additional surgeries when he's 15 pounds. He also has a hole in his heart and a bad kidney. Kids with this problem often have a whole lot of birthdefects, many not seen until later. the one that scares me the most is the possibility of a thethered spinal cord. I am just heartsick for this poor little child.
