Do any of your kids have this? My daughter is preparing for surgery and I just wanted to know what to expect. I have posted a more detailed thread in Urology.

my daughter did. she had vesicouretereflux. had a duplex ureter and also ureterocele. first surgery at 8 mo, 2nd at 3yrs. she's 14 now and is fine. i, however, will be forever traumatized... PM me if you still need info

My son had his ureta tubes reimplanted when he was 5 months old. He was born with 1 kidney the size of a pea and the other less than half the size it should be. He sees a nephrologist every 6 to 12 mths for ultrasounds and GFR tests . He is a strapping lad of 19 now and lives like any other kid his age. He keeps a check on his diet as he is to be on a high carbohydrate/low protein diet. It was found by him continually having high fevers and UTI"s from the reflux.
