Neither I nor my husband has ever had a cold sore. I've also never noticed it on any of my family members. My daughter came home from a 2 day stay at her grandparents house and has this rash thing below her lip area.
I am very strict on never sharing food, drinks or kissing my kids on the lips. My parents, however, have always kissed her on the lips since she was very little. If they had it wouldn't it have shown up on them or her by now? I see them every weekend so I would have noticed it at some point right?
She had really bad chapped lips recently but that is the last part to heal.
Sorry I'm freaking out, but I have a toddler too and my daughter doesn't understand why she can't give him a goodnight kiss on the cheek right now.
