| 6 yr old son - questions about Group A Strep (m)..
on 12/1 I took my son into the ER. He was having abdominal pain, sore throat and green discharge coming from his nose. They found on xrays he did have a lot of stool in his colon. HOwever, looking at copies of the ER records, it shows he also had "tonsillar exudate/swelling" and it is marked "YES". Group A strep test result says "Active" when the others are marked "complete".
Does this mean he had strep throat and was never treated for it? The Dr. never mentioned anything about the tonsils being swollen. He treated us for the impacted bowels and sent us home.
ANy insight? Thanks.
