3yr old red cheeks

Hello, I'm concern about my grandaughter that's 3. We have noticed in late evening/night that her cheeks gets really red (flushed) and she might just be sitting watching TV. Has anyone seen this befoe? I would really appreciate any input!

Re: 3yr old red cheeks

Hi

My 3 year old son also get red checks. Sometimes it will just be only on one
side. He overheats very easily too. After any vigorus playing his face is beet red. It always goes away in about 15 min. to a half hour. He was like
this as a baby too. His Dr. told me to make sure he drinks water and to put
a cool washcloth on his face. It doesn't seem to bother him at all. I guess
I've gotten use to it. I don't worry about it anymore.

Hope this helps.
Lynn

Re: 3yr old red cheeks

My 2 1/2 year old son has always had this problem on occasion. His either comes from dry skin, overheating or a reaction to something environmental. If it's here and there, it's probably overheating or allergy. If it's constant, it could be dry skin. Aquaphor works great on red cheeks. Just make sure hands are washed before applying.
