loose stools and body rash concern

My 2 1/2 year old has had loose stools for over a month now. He hasn't suffered from a diaper rash (changed almost 6 times a day) and also seems otherwise perfectly healthy and happy. Last week, he broke out in a very strange looking body rash and so I took him to the pediatrician who asked for a stool sample. Of course, my son then decided to be constipated and by the next day, his rash was completely gone and his stool seemed normal again. However, for the last couple days, he has begun to have loose stools yet again (no rash yet). I could bring in the stools for testing, but was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them and what their advice may be. Thank you!

Re: loose stools and body rash concern

I am thinking it may be allergy related, such as your son is intolerant to something or it could be vaccination induced.
I would get him tested to see what is going on.
