My 4 year old daughter was hospitalised for 3 days with pneumonia around 4 weeks ago and in around 10 days she was back to normal but now she has started coughing pretty much non stop for the last 2 days and i am terrified it is coming back... I don't really remember if she had a cough leading up to her pneumonia last time because it came on so quick, so another question is does Pneumonia usually start with a persistant dry cough? |
Hi
not sure how helpful this will be now but my son had pneumonia last year and had another bout quite quickly - there is recurrent pneumonia where it recurs quite quickly or a few times in the same year. It depends if there was damage caused the first time as if there is scarring she could be susceptible to getting it again. Did they repeat an xray to show it had cleared up? As this is what I insisted on after he had it the second time. Take care S
