Need Guidance Please

Hi All

Would request your guidance on the following:

I have a 5 year old son , whose mother had ulcerative colitus got converted into colon cancer and passed away some time back.

for last couple of days , i have been noticing that my son after he passes his stool , which are normal ... and if we leave stool in the toilet bowel for some time then the water around stool becomes slightly red , though neither there is visible blood in the stool.

I have also got Occult blood test done for couple of days but results are negative...

when i consult doctors , they maintain that i am unnecessarily gettting worried and it is nothing but no one gives explaination of redness in water after some time of passing the stool...

Can some one pls guide ??

Regards
