 MRSA question from a scared mom
My 2 1/2 year old was diagnosed with MRSA. She is on Bactrim and doing great. But she doesn't go back to the DR until the 21st, and I have so many unanswered questions. Everytime I think about her dealing with this, I feel like I can't breathe and my stomach ties itself in a knot. Will she always have MRSA? Is it possible to never have another outbreak, or will she have others for sure? If she does, will she eventually become immune to the antibiotics? Is there a chance she could ever die from this if I'm vigilant and take her to her DR at the first sign of another outbreak? Please help! Anything you can say would be much appreciated.
