Unhappy 3 year old potty training and pooing problems

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp.... I'm sure there are many mums out there with the same situation but I feel so alone at the moment!
Our daughter turned 3 a few weeks ago and we have been trying to potty train her for months now. She was so distraught from the first experience of wetting herself that she wont let us near her with knickers or even pullups and refuses to sit on the potty or toilet. We have even tried just letting her run around without anything on her bottom but she gets upset and wants to put her nappy and leggins on.
We have tried many bribes and reward systems but these haven't worked. She is a very strong willed little thing!
Any ideas?
We have nother problem too! She has been having a problem with pooing for a couple of years now. Basically she refuses to poo even though she feels it coming. This goes on for about 7 days then sometimes (rarely) she goes but sometimes we give her microlax to clear her bowel. We had a few months where everything was going well and she was pooing daily so we know her poo is soft enough but when she holds it for so long it builds up and gets hard. She has always been on a very healthy organic high fibre diet and drinks plenty of water (no squashes or fizzy drinks, just water, juice or milk) We have seen a specialist and they tested for neurological problems but said she was fine and it seems to be a phsycological problem. they said to give her movicol but no matter how we diguise it she wont drink it. The doctors and health nurse just tell us to keep trying but this has been 2 years now and she still refuses it! Starting to feel a bit crazy about the whole thing.
Has this happened to anyone else and if so how did you resolve it?
Sorry for such a long story!

Re: 3 year old potty training and pooing problems

I never had a problem with my kids going poop. But it sounds like your little girl is not ready to be potty trained. I tried training my 2nd son at the age of 3 years old and it just didn't happen. So, I told him, "tell mommy when you want to ware big boy pants." Eight months later he said I want to ware big boy pants and I got rid of the diaper and he stayed dry. The next day he told me that he didn't want to ware big boy pants. I said I got rid of the diapers and he had to ware the pants. No problems after that. A child has to be ready to be potty trained otherwise more harm than good is done ( as told to me by my pedritician).
