I had mono 2 years ago and ever since then it seems like I have been sick 2 weeks out of the month sometimes even more. I constantly feel like I have mono. I'm sick of going to the doctors and hearing them say that it's just a virus and sending me home. What could this possibly be? I'm sorry to hear about your situation, I've had similar symptoms for nearly four years now and I'm still trying to find out what's going on. I have a few suggestions, if you consume a lot of sugar (candies, cakes, etc.) and junk foots, now might be a good time to cut back and eat better. My family (on my mothers side) has a history of problems with the adrenal gland so that's what I'm finally going to have checked soon.

Have you had an ANA test done (sorry if I misspell this but it stands for antinuclear antibodies). When elevated it could indicated a rehumatoid illness - like lupus.
I had a friend with your symptoms for years and she was finally diagnoised with lupus. Just a thought.
I just had a simple blood test done and the doctor said everything looked normal? I don't feel normal at all and feel very sick. I mean bad off sick! I do have a weird arthritis also that is huring my joints-- knees, ankles, wrists, elbows, and lumbar region (back); and on top of this, I have breathing problems too! I am not getting much oxygen. My lungs are not absorbing it like it use to. I had 2 anthrax vaccines from the military and am all in the messed up mode!

I have a cousin with something like Lupus, but it has more to do with her muscles.
The problem is I was hospitalized while on active duty due to a mycoplasma infection and a adverse reaction to the army vaccines both at the same time. I am currently sick with a whole list of symptoms which are chest pain, joint pains, breathing problems, headaches, vision problems, cognitive disruptions, dizzyness, confusion, diarrhea, chronic fatigue and weakness, uncoordinated, off balance and fall over, overly hot feeling,(temp. regulation problem), get exhausted and nauseated on any physical exertion, feel 80 years old, rickety feeling, bone pains, abdominal pains, chronic pains, etc. These are my symptoms and I have had them ever since I got out of the military hospital. I never got better and am still sick. And now that I am injured from the military while on active duty, I am having problems getting help, looked at and treated right for my illness that I have got and continue to have that are an ongoing set of problems. I am hurting enough without hassles... and aggrivations. The hospital where I was at said that bacteria was found in my blood. This is a really bad illness and I am sick daily and can't work or even hold down the most simple of jobs. I am basicly unemployable and can't work. The problem is that I appear to "look" okay which I am not... I am not getting help from the military or anyone else for these problems. I was recently denied Social Security also. I give up on them because they are not taking me seriously... The doctor said I had CFS but later reacanted that and didn't stick up for me. I suppose that is how our hard working government dollars are being spent! They are using the money to disqualify me. A sick soldier of the United States Army!!! Refused Social Security help!!!

I'm not trying to be funny in anyway when I say this...just so you know. But, you maybe should see a counselor or psychiatrist. I don't doubt any of your symptoms, but starting with the basics wouldn't hurt. Start taking a daily vitamin, not anything too strong...just a once a day vitamin....then, start getting a little more exercise...just walking maybe...once a day take a mile walk or so...it will clear up your mind and stretch your muscles...you don't think it would help, but it really will. then, maybe see a counselor...I think you'll come to find that once you have someone that you can tell all of your frustrations to, you'll get a little relief mentally, and that will really help physically. Start trying to help yourself in anyway that you can, make an effort no matter how tired/frustrated/sick you feel. Try to help yourself!
Now, my mom does have lupus, and some of the symptoms you mention are what she has, but, it just seems like you have so many symptoms...are you sure (and again, I'm very serious, I'm not trying to make jokes....) that some of this isn't mental?
I was basicly poisoned in the military. You would have problems too if you were barely klinging onto life as I am doing. My internal organs and my brain are literally being bombarded by pain! It is bad enough believe me. My body is numb though from training so I don't really feel much at all. I don't even enjoy intimacy to put it bluntly, however, what I do feel is severe enough to put me in severe pain... I have joint pain also and have trouble just walking at all. I was really healthy while in the military but something happened. No one seems to know what did this to all of us? It is very serious and it isn't just nationwide, it is also an International problem in other countries as well... You would have mental problems as well if you had to suffer like me. I know I could use some help but I am dyeing slowly. I can feel my body shutting down! How can you stay sane like this? I mean in this state of dyeing very slowly... I've lived for 14 years but some very odd things are happening, (physically...); and very real... We looked like we had the plague or something worse. It was so bad that our doctor ran away from his post! Then guards were called in to guard us from more attacks. I think it may have been Biological warfare... There were only 9 of us very sick and it was a traumatic event. PTSD doesn't even come close to what I have suffered here. Heck, it could be non-lethal warefare where it doesn't kill you right away but I almost died in the army hospital! The others I don't believe survived? They only had one pill to give out and I got it! I believe it was the "Last Line of defense pill", very strong antibiotics that saved me from dyeing. I hate to say it but you guys are on your own. I can't help you from any dangers, and I can't even help myself... I wonder how many other soldiers have been done this way? Half the military is gone! sick, dead or are dyeing...

I think we are poisoning our military and our nation & our world with a commonly used cleaning and degreaser Product: 2-butoxyethanol also known as ethylene glycol monobutyl ether.
Have your physicals shown trace blood in urine since the 'fatigue' hit?
Regardless of the various diagnosis gulf war vets get (& these other odd symptoms that the original poster gave), there could be a commonality of harm: that to the blood.
I've heard comments from the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup workers that they have blood in their urine - one said the tests show that he has blood in his urine with each yearly physical
(This group has KNOWN exposure to 2-butoxyethanol; for gulf war vets it is just one possible exposure) ... & for the public, who knows: many, many possible exposures such as painting, cleaning with Lysol Tub 'n Tile, 409 Cleaner, Simple Green; use of oven cleaners, etc, etc
At first I thought, oh, you must still be being exposed to this chemical; does this mean kidney damage? ... or are your red blood cells are dying off prematurely - as happens with hemolytic anemia (AUTOIMMUNE)
Then, a couple with severe joint problems shared with their specialist this info (on a cause of fatigue often overlooked)... which suggests that the 'retic ratio' test would show too many immature red blood cells. Well, the specialist was very interested in this information; however, instead of ordering the blood test, he had another urine test ordered. Was he looking for 'blood in urine?'
I think so.
So, blood in urine with this group must mean that there is an ongoing process of red blood cells being destroyed by the immune system ... and there will be at least traces of blood in urine ... ongoing (!?)

They did a full (basic) blood test and nothing was found. The doctor told me everything looked fine except high blood pressure and high bad LDL; I believe I may have neurological problems and brain damage. Maybe high dopamine levels? I need to get the dopamine level checked that could reveal whether or not I may have MS also. All I know is the inoculations we were given messed me up bad. I am not getting any help from SSA or the VA! I don't know what to do with not being able to work and support myself like I should be able to do for a 37 year old that was extremely healthy. All I ever drank was water and coolaide! How much healthier can you be? I was in tip top shape, wrestling, cross-country and track, and even ran 3 miles in 14:57 in the Army! That is in excellent shape!!! What happened to me that I am now disabled? Whatever is hurting us soldiers is in those inoculations! I will never allow myself to get another inoculation for the rest of my life! I will refuse! I am dyeing slowly from something and no one wants to help me. I mean no one! I am on my own with this sickness... All the Army said is "Thank you for having served your country..." that is it!
My ribs feel like they are falling apart and hurt for no apparent reason. I am weak and can't do much on a daily basis. My internal organs all have pain in them which is chronic. My bones even hurt! Please could all of you on these boards get your thyroid tested. Find a Dr who will test for thyroid Antibodies/ Free T3 and Free T4
I wonder how many of you suffering fron CFS actually have low thyroid function. Mine is considered normal (on the boundries) and I have found a Dr who will treat me for thyroid as apparantly the blood tests are not given the right ranges. Get your results and post'em on the thyroid board with the ranges and there are some people there who can explain if yours are in the low range.
I had to let my Social Security claim collapse because I am not getting good cooperation in getting the medical records and other documents needed. I asked for my medical records before some others got ahold of it and now I can't even get my records now as a result. The CDC wants it the MTF wants it The records people want it, I want it, and the lawyers wants my records! All of that time and money literally lost now with the SSA claim! and on top of that, my social security doctor didn't support my claim either for some reason? I am very sick and feel like I am dyeing and no one is taking my serious health problems even remotely seriously. I am not going to forget about this and will continue to fight later on when I have got all of my stuff in order. I suffer daily from all kinds of chronic pains all bombarding me in waves one right after the other, over and over again! It never quits. First the headaches come, then the abdominal pains-- (Internal organs hurt really bad...), then come the arthritic pains in all joints, then blurred vision hits in one or two eyes, then nausea sets in and I get very sick, then my skin gets overly sensitive and very painful to the lightest touch, then I get prickly sensations down my arms, GI problems hit me, and all the time I am off balance, dizzy, uncoordinated, and have fine tuned movement problems that makes life seem so unreal? Then my tongue gets pain in it and my mouths feels like it is on fire and all of my teeth hurt all at once! This is suffering and painful! Then on top of all of this, the chest pain sets in, then the breathing gets suppressed and I can't breath normally and gosh forbid I am in high humidity because it will make me unable to even breath at all and I begin to sufficate! Also, I can't even smell any odors because I have lost my smell senses. If I smell anything it is really nasty like a very stong glue smell that is so nasty that you wouldn't believe it! I have chemical and heat sensitivities. Some chemicals run me off! even certain perfumes! My condition is very serious, and not even just a mild discomfort! I can't work like this with all of this stuff going on one right after another. I am not getting any VA help or SSA help either. Apparently because I appear to look okay they consider me normal? Well, I am not normal and read above and see if you would like to go through this without any financial help! I am totally cut off from the system! I can't even by a 5 cent piece of bublegum! let alone other services I need! What is anyone going to do to help us that are in this state of being really very messed up? The inoculations did this to me! My body it totally screwed up now and doesn't work properly! What do I do now? That is what I would like to hear. I can't even sue because no paperwork! The govt. highjacked my paperwork so they have it not me! My mind does't work properly and I feel like I have lost my mind somewhere. It is so hard to describe to anyone what has happened.

I definetly know how that feels I always said "I am sick and tierd of being sick and tierd!" I want you to try and take a test for Lyme disease not the kind they use in hospitals because you have a 70% chance to get a negative on them. Lyme is a very controversal disease and You have to have the right test!!!!! I was diagnosed with Chronic fatigue. NO there is NO chronic fatigue syndrom!!! You get chronic fatigue from a REAL illness! Then I went to a LYme disease spealist in CT called Westport Medical Arts, LLC. They gave me through test on Lyme even though my hospital gave me the normal test anf basically told me it was all in my head. But GEEEE I came up positive for botennela bacteria for lyme and I had it for 12 years. You need to take a "WESTERN BLOT TEST" A doctor does it in California and you can have your doctor order it. CALL information and talk to the WESTPort medical doctors in westport Connecticut about the western blot

When I had my second episode of Pneumonia, in the 5th grade... I never really recovered. I'm in the "sick and tired of being sick and tired" category. What is worse is that my bad health is actually quite depressing, and for a while I had to be medicated. (Off of it now, but was tough to break!) I still have poor health, but at least I have my mind back. My brain is the only good part I have left.
I have always been very skinny and very healthy. I use to run 3 miles a day in cross-country at high school. I even ran the run for life which was 6.5 miles. I joined the U.S. Army a very healthy individual but apparently I received a contaminated lot of vaccines and now all of that has changed overnight! I am not happy about this at all and suffer daily where I had no health problems before! All I ever drank was water and Koolaid! I went from a very healthy individual to being all messed up right before the Gulf War! Instead of fighting on the battlefield, I was instead fighting for my life after a severe adverse reaction to the inoculations we had to get! Now I have fine precision movement problems which I read could very well be the basal ganglia that is possibly damaged; or to put it mildly, it could be brain damage. What messed me up this bad? Is it a new weapon of some kind? I joined knowing of risks but dang, what ever it was, it was in the vaccines we were ordered to have to get! My heart feels damaged, I have lung damage-- both lobes, migrating joint pains, breathing problems, headaches, muscle aches, sleep apnea, nausea, back pain/arthritis-- (lumbar region), bone pain, etc. I never deployed over to the gulf and couldn't for that matter. Now I suffer every day as a result of my service that unfortunately came to an abrupt end very quickly. I almost died in the Army hospital also but they managed to save me at the last minute when I started to slip away-- I mean death!!! I get no answers as to what happened, No help from the VA and no help from the SSA either! In fact I was denied my SSA Claim due to no records thus no evidence, etc! It is just so frusterating being all messed up. I can walk around alittle bit but I am very sick! I am borderline able to walk but also am bed ridden too at the same time! I can get out some but not very good nowadays! This is not good at all!!! Now I believe I have a bone disorder like osteoarthritis?? Man I am eat slap up with something really bad!!! I get suppressed breathing and I flipped all over my bed one day from a severe attack of the heart of some kind, I mean like a fish out of water! I was all over the place!!! My mind has been impaired also and my memory is spotty? I don't know what has happened to me but it isn't good. I believe the enemy got to me or something because I am in bad shape!

Im an ex cop so I know the feeling. I was #4 in my academy class in physical fitness and was invincible just 4 years ago. So anyway drs have to have some explanation on what is wrong with you, they just cant tell you nothing. What did they tell you is the cause? If it is a vet thing they must take care of you financially. I hate to hear your story. Good Luck.
They haven't told me anything and nothing is showing up on any of there tests. I got effected by something? It is just like the kennedy assassination... meaning we'll never know the answers we are looking for! It is the kennedy situation all over again! No one seems to know anything. I was told by A doctor that it sure sounds like I have had an adverse reaction to the vaccines and a mycoplasma infection both at the same time. Also, My Social Security doctor said it was chronic fatigue syndrome... but later he did not back me up on my SSA Claim and left me high and dry! A Dr. Bornfreund... He apparently lied to me or something happened and didn't have my back! I told the doctor that I had a severe adverse reaction to the vaccines which included the dreaded anthrax vaccine and a Mycoplasma infection both at the same time. I barely survived the event and came veeerrrrrrry close to death! The antibiotics didn't do anything at all for me. They had to give me something very powerful! I personally believe they gave me "The Last Line of Defense Pill" which is the stongest antibiotic known to exist! I was the only one that got one, the other 9 soldiers apparently didn't get one? I know that if they were as messed up as I was they would be on these forums!!! I don't hear anything from them which leads me to believe that perhaps they didn't survive as I did! I am very lucky to be writeing on these forums! I was in the hospital for 7 days with something really bad! I know it wasn't a normal sickness! I'm a reliable source because I have been doing law enforcement for 14 years off and on. I don't lie but they sure do! It was something more in line with Biological Warfare, tampered vaccines, contaiminated vaccines or whatever but no one will admit it! So a lot of us soldiers are left fending for ourselves as a result...

I personally believe I am dyeing slowly from whatever this syndrome is... and I mean syndrome according to the definition!!! Syndrome is more accurately descriptive. I went to the emergency room 3 weeks ago and they said it was heartburn, it wasn't that at all. It was an attack where my motor skills and body was incapacitated for over 4~5 hours. Why they lied is a real good question. There is a lot of dishonesty in the world. I was brought up to never lie and I was punished very severely if I even got out of line! I was brought up right and to be honest! I just wish the rest of the world could do the same! They lie they get away with it, I do something wrong... well, I get severely punished! This isn't right!?
