For all the Desert Storm Veterans waiting for this day, it's finally here. Chronic fatique, memory loss, anxiety, chronic muscle and joint pain are the symptoms that have ailed us for 10 plus years. The wait is over! The government finally opened thier eyes to see that this illness is real. It only took some strong people to bring it out, but now the truth is out and soldiers are dying from this illness. It's not in your head and Motrin is not going to cure it. The military gives soldiers Motrin for everything. I have put up with this illness since the war but never realized why as a 22 year old, I had no energy, constant pain in all my joints, why I couldn't remember a thing, why I was anxious, nervous, stessed, now after putting up with all people with doubt the truth is out and I'm ready to shout. As an active duty soldier I still have my doubts about getting compensated because the military always will find a way not to pay a soldier his/her due. You all know what I'm talking about. The will take your disability from your retirement check, they will not add disability to your retirement.

I am sure you have had lots of medical tests but have you had hormone tests for adrenal function, growth hormone and thyroid. And have you tried taking oral Nystatin to rule out a yeast infection? By accident I took Nystatin and my brain fog, muscle pains, memory problems, joint pains, fatigue, mouth soreness, and dry eyes all got significantly better. In my case, I had taken several rounds of antibiotics that left me open to the yeast problem. Just a suggestion.

I'v herad the same but the only payment I'v got is from the SSI. My VA claim is still sitting in ST. Louis on soneones desk waiting for him to make a rating on my packet. They still haven't found my military health records, but I'am still full of hope.

Hi.
Just wanted to give a word of Praise. I am a Canadian and admire all of the vets!!! You deserve a lot more then what they will give you I'm sure.
It's because of people like you that we live safe lives, and for that I just wanted to say "Thank You".

Well my 2 year antaversity was the 5 of feb this year.
The VA still has my records with all dx from the PGW
and I just read in the VFW mag that the commander in chief of the VFW stated that it only takes an average of 9 months to process a claim. Got a letter from the national record center in ST.Louis that my records have not been retired to them yet. I got out of ARMY in 1991. I seperated at FT. Jackson on the 17th of june 91. They said they were going to check with reserve's. Hope they find them. Also hope other vets
are not having the same problems. Mike
