My 14 year old daughter has recently been diagnosed with CFS and I am considering enrolling her in a clinical trial for cognitive behavioural therapy. I'm wondering if any other Moms and Dad's of CFS sufferers have tried CBT and your experiences? I'm worried about her doing the exercise and it making her worse! Have you got any suggestions for other non-drug therapies?Thanking you.
Before you start fooling with psychobabble what blood tests have you had? Have you had a complete hormone panel including thyroid, prolactin, cortisol, and DHEAS? Have you tried low dose prednisone, or taking low dose DHEA? Has she been examined for depression?
Anyone's kids tried CBT for CFS???
