Just wondering.
I have been referred to a Rheumatologist, (I have had one appointment), but am hearing that they tend to treat more for the Fibromyalgia, and not so much the ME/CFS.
Yeah me two.My rheumatologist has given me a diagnosis of fybromyalgia 'cos for some strange reason he feels happier with that than saying I have cfs.I have NOT got fibromyalgia,I don't have any pain.basically I just show my face at his clinic every few month to prove I'm still alive and kicking.Hope you do better.
I go to a specialty clinic just for CFS, it's about an hour away from my home and they only have me come in 3-4 times a year otherwise I see my PCP. I do also have FM but not a lot of Rheumatologists in my area treat it so I don't have one.
Good Luck

Hi lightnerbride
I see you live in WA state.
We will be moving there in a few months - Seattle. Can you tell me what specialty clinic you go to for CFS?
Thanks much!

I've personally been to two Rheumatologists (both diagnosed Fibromyalgia) and two Neurologists (both diagnosed CFS). I do have pain as a symptom, so I could have either, or both, or neither. I think that's one of the lamest things about both of these illnesses - since it's a diagnosis of exclusion, I never really feel like I've been diagnosed. My neurologist is keeping an eye on some of my odd symptoms that make him think early MS. So if it turned out I have MS... did I not have CFS? Or Fibro? Which ones? I feel very much in limbo.
But anyway...
Maybe you should try a neurologist, my new one's just great.
