I was diagnosed with CFS for 16 years until my blood was finally sent to a Lyme literate lab (there are only 2 - IgeneX and Bowen). I am also now dealing with chronic, late-stage Lyme.
A doctor CAN NOT go on a lyme test ...They are NOT accurate...there are too many strains and once you have chronic Lyme it is very hard to detect. And these bacteria (s) Love to hide in your tissue, organs, bone, everywhere but the blood...There are also co-infections that are hard to detect...A LYME LITERATE MEDICAL DOCTOR Truly needs to go on your symptoms...
You don't necessarlly need to be bitten by a tick any bug that bites and transfers blood ...they are even saying in some cases it is transferred through sex, siliva, blood transfussions...ect..ect..This is a close relative to syphillis...
You also need to be tested for virus's!
Don't let "ANY" doctor tell you That there is no reason for CFS or Fibro...there is always a reason why you are running fevers, can't breath, headaches, pains...ect...ect...
One has to be their own advocate! From one that was told it was all in my head...and to learn to live with it....ahhhhh....flippin doctors...
