Ok, in fact, you may even get the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia while you're there and that could aid in you getting better treatments as well.
There really isn't such a thing as a CFS 'specialist' per say because no one even knows what CFS really is yet. There are, however, doctors who are more open, understanding, and willing to try different things though. That's what a Rheumatologist may be able to provide for you.
I've never seen one myself...Instead, because I don't suffer from much pain, I went to several Infectious Disease Specialists over the years. They pretty much know the basics of CFS which is the general information provided by the CDC. They weren't, however, much help in getting treatments though...I couldn't find one willing to stick his neck out a little bit for me. In fact, my GP was more willing than they were.
Maybe I'll try what you're doing and see if I can't get some further help. Good luck with your appointment and tell us how it went.
