Please help.....Fatigued 3 months

I am 22 year old male, use to workout every day and ate only organic foods. I have been extremely fatigued for 3 months now and have had all blood tests and CT scans come back negative. I was prescribed Dorxy for my acne 5 days before this sickness began and stopped taking it 3 days after I was sick thinking it might be the cause.

I woke up one morning and couldn't get out of bed for the next 2 weeks. Slept 12-13 hrs a day and still exhausted. Weird feeling in head, blurred vision, tender lymph nodes, puffy eyes, upper left abdomen pain. Doctors all thought it was mono but test 3 times for it all negative. The intensity of all my symptoms change with in hours...Symptoms have improved very gradually and some have diminished...Currently still extremely fatigued, tender lymph nodes, heavy eyes, still tired after 10 hrs of sleep in morning. Have an Elis lyme test (neg) but not a western blot? Just a weird Virus? CFS? Bacteria/Parasite infection how do you test? Currently getting my hormone levels tested. Please let me know if anyone has any insight...going insane lying around my house for 90 days, feel like all my energy has been sucked away! Thanks

Re: Please help.....Fatigued 3 months

Hi Bj, the Lyme test you had done is NOT a reliable test. I would suggest getting on the Lyme board and try to find out if there is a Lyme doctor near you. It would be a good idea to get to a lyme specialist. the best place to get a Lyme test is through Igenex, Palo Alto, you can find out more info on the net.

I was diagnoised also with CFS, Fibro. I live in California also.

Also a doctor needs to go on your symptoms for Epstein Barr Virus and Cytomeglovirus. They can show past infection...but this does not mean you don't have a good case of mono going...

I See a doctor in Sacramento for these virus's. If you would like his name let me know.

Please read over symptoms for lyme also...

Jodie

Thanks Jodie. Sure, I would love the recommendation of the doctor in Sacramento.
I guess I had mono before (unaware to me) EBV antibodies showed 1492 but I have never been sick for more than a week before this.

Re: Please help.....Fatigued 3 months

You can research Dr. Michael Powell on line. He has the Fibromyalgia treatment and learning center. Don't let that throw you. He deals in the Chlamydia Pnumoniae bacteria and Epstein Barr and Cytomeglovirus. Also checks the thyroid real well.

It might be a good place for you to start...and try to find a lyme doctor. I see you posted on the Lyme board. Look at the top of it and there are more clinics and doctor recommendations.

I wish you lots and lots of luck!

Normal every day doctors will not understand ...
