I am 17 yrs old and I have had chronic fatigue for many years.
I was wondering if some of you could help me. I am 17 yrs old and I have had chronic fatigue for many years. I think I inherited some of my dadís problems as he has been sickly all his life. I have a difficult time going to sleep at night. Itís just like my mind will not shut down. Sometimes I lay awake all night. Then early in the morning when I am finally exhausted enough to go to sleep, I then sleep until noon or worse. What can I do? My parents are hard on me telling me that I should fight it and do something.
Recently, I bought some mouth strips that are supposed to help you go to sleep. I have taken them now for about a week. They do help me go to sleep, but they also make it difficult for me to wake up and when I get up then its like I'm on drugs I'm so so tried wost then when I went to sleep. I still can not get up until noon or so fighting what the strips do to me.
I have been tested and I do have EBV causing chronic fatigue syndrome. I try to do things for my health, but it just seems hopeless. Nothing seems to work.
I sure would appreciate some help with what I can do being a teenager with a short attention span and limited budget.

The cause of cfs-it is a modern civilised disease-is the massive change in diet humans have had in the last 60 years,shifting from a grain diet to an animal fat diet.We have become,compared to our ancestors,walking blobs of fat.
The lack of fibre in the current diet means that we cant excrete viruses,so they stay in our systems and make us sick.
The buildup of fat makes it hard for the normal functioning of our bodies,in particular,it depresses the cns,with the resultant feelings of illhealth and depression.
The cure for cfs is to go back to the diet that our ancestors ate.
I want you to eat the following,and nothing else.
1. good quality bread-either wholemeal or kibbled grain-eat as much as you like.
2. proper orange juice.
3.a small tin of tuna-once per week.
The bread will provide the fibre to excrete viruses out of the system.It will also provide the natural B vitamins that the cns has to have for normal functioning.
The OJ is definately antistress and antiinfection-has vit c,natural antioxidants and bioflavanoids.
Tuna is the lowest fat fish-even too much fish fat is a negative-eat it only once a week.
This diet will be tough at first,but as you pick up,you wont want to eat anything else.
