My gyno retested me for Epstein Barr. I had it a year and half ago. She didn't know much about the results. Please determine the results for me. I have no idea.

EBV Early Antigen Ab, IgG 36 Range: 0-99

EBV Ab VCA, IgG 443 H Range: 0-99

EBV Nuclear Antigen Ab, IgG 1724 H Range: 0-99

Negative: <100
Equivocal: 100-120
Positive: >120

Re: Ebstein Barr reactivated?? help...

Hi Sophia!

I compared my test results to yours....

All your results should be less than 100.

The first EBV Early Antigen, mine is over 100 so they told me I was infected recently. Yours is below 99, so you were not affected recently.

The 443 number (above 100) indicates your fighting Epstein Barr.

I am not familiar with the last result, Nuclear Antigen becuase it is not on my results. Again, your number is very high at 1742.

H stands for High, and those two numbers are too high.

If you haven't already, go to a doctor that can understand the results, and help you get better.

Feel Good!

I believe the nuclear antigen being high means you are chronic. your lucky your doc knew to test for that..my neuro/immunologist says that number is very important and most docs do not know to test for that.

Re: Ebstein Barr reactivated?? help...

I do feel blessed to have found out so soon.

I regularily see a chiropractor and have lost a lot of weight with diet and exercise. So he asked me if I have more energy now that I am lighter. I said NO. I figured I was tired because I'm raising 4 kids, two of which are special needs.

I have learned a lot about this virus. There are things you can do to get & stay healthy permanently.

See my post "New Hope For Chronic Fatigue/Epstein Barr Sufferers"
