samples of Provigil

Hi,

I was given samples of Provigil to try about a half year ago. I have Lupus & fibromyalgia and some other spine problems. I had been outside all day for some function, then ended up with a flare. I kept telling my doc that the fatigue was my biggest issue (what I meant by that was the overwhelming fatigue felt in the body & all your muscles like you just cant move)

So my rheumy said to take ONE a day. The leaflet inside the package said to take it in the morning so that it does not interfere with night time sleep.
Well, I took this at 6:30 AM each day. I quit taking it after 6 days because it caused me to barely sleep at all! I was lucky if I got 2 hours of sleep per night. I helped slightly with my body fatigue but then my heart started pounding and racing. Especially when I laid down at night. My heart pouding seemed so loud and seemed like it was making my pillow & sheets move. Then because I got no sleep I was in a brain fog & i just couldnt handle it.

I told my doc I would never take that again...eeeks..

Re: Provigil

Baybreeze,

I have lupus too. I can only take half (50mg) at a time. I can't say that it helps with body fatigue, but it helps with the mind fatigue. As a fellow lupus sufferer I'm sure that you understand!

Re: Provigil

Hi Baybreeze,

It is good to know that I'm not the only person with brain fog! I have a very high stress job & part of it is remembering things - heck I have a hard time remembering yesterday!
