Anyone know about CFS Center, Denver

Hello All - Im new to the board. I have been diagnosed with CFS last Aug. I am fed up with Dr.'s who don't know anything about this. I am thinking about going to the Chronic Fatique Center of Denver , CO. But I just read some bad reviews about it. Has anyone ever heard good or bad about this center or have been there themselves?

Thank you in advance for any help!!

Re: Anyone know about CFS Center, Denver

Many doctors believe that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is more psychological than a real tired body. Actually, the word syndrome - beyond "Down Syndrome" - is used loosely for everything - from Vietnam Syndrome; Combat Fatigue Syndrome, etc., and that means "unexplained symptoms." Vietnam Syndrome, for example, is a psychological twist, but there is nothing wrong with the body functions. I doubt if your insurance will cover any experimental treatment, and if medical sciences have nothing for you in your state, I doubt anybody will have something in another state. People set up clinics for
things that medicine cannot do anything about, and rip off hope seekers by selling vitamins, herbs, and ayurvedic recipes or acupuncture as therapeutic remedies. They become rich by exploiting needy people. My suggestion? Seek 2nd or 3rd opinion, and look for older doctors with lifetime experience in your state - not young doctors who are not better than interns. Ask your doctor for a full blood test to see if all fundamental
elements in you body are within the proper range. And depending on your diet, you may
need a multivitamin a day -generic will do it, and one 1000 mg of Vitamin D -3 a day (most people have deficiency according to the latest medical sciences)
