I feel utterly terrible. I have just decided to leave the full time Digital Animation course I was studying because I am having yet another cycle of chronic fatigue, with the feverish feeling, a really blotched and swollen thyroid / throat area, swelling in the back of my legs and knees...tenderness everywhere. and slumping even further down the pillow.
Thank God for laptops!
I have decided to try to reach out to others with chronic fatigue. I have had it since 2007 winter, when my whole system slowed down so noticeably I could barely walk, with very pained legs and the abovementioned symptoms. I am also a little nauseous, like that on and off since 2006. I did actually vomit on Friday morning when I puffed my way on my mountain bike to the train station to go to class, a 2 hr journey away.
I feel like I am being surrounded by something overwhelming, like I am trapped in a marshmellow man, and being constricted somehow..and heavy and sluggish, getting slower every second now.
I tried so many different tests, came back with wheat allergy, dairy intolerance, low platelet count, low blood pressure. Acidity is also being said to be a factor in my low energy by several alternative healers - since the mid 00's in fact, I was told I have an acidic system. Even though I know not much more about rebalancing the acid. alkalinity in my diet, I try to drink pure filtered water, and eat whole foods. I have recently really tried to focus on the ways to reduce my health issues by cutting out dairy, wheat, stopped eating meat for a year, really shrunk to almost no muscles and a stick frame, and craved meat, so I am back onto meat although it made me nauseated to eat it again, even though it was organic meat.
I have wondered if it is to do with hormone imbalance as the thyroid is surely a hormone affecting part of the whole body system, right? I have also wondered that because I have had numerous hormonally changing things happening in my body, have had weight gain and then not quite rapidly. But maybe thats down to metabolism.
Why is it that a homeopathic specialist in thyroid can see these problems and know about them, yet when any old GP sees me they dismiss it as a virus, or just chronic fatigue and ask me if i have a good diet and exercise. It is limited and frustrating as hell!! And the money it takes to get the treatments I want from alternative practitioners is not as forthcoming as I am on a government pension. rent is a big part of it, health supplements, bills for internet, things i need for my life..it all adds to the stress and breakdown of my health..adding to my fatigue. I've just lifted it somewhat by telling myself to make it easier for myself by quitting the full time course. To make the art at my own pace. Without stress. As much as possible.
I hope others can find health. Keep on. Keep looking for answers.
You are so smart.(and I mean It).The only thing I have to offer,is this.On the Coasr to Coast radio program, they had on about a week or so ago,An MD,I believe who told of his success with a NEW mix of medications for Thyroid problems, associated with
chronic fatique. I think his name was "Starr" or something.I think they list past speakers. It has millions of listeners,I believe.I was in the Marianas, before you were born. Good luck. Bill

I have also now been made aware of the possibility of fibromyalgia...which makes sense as many of the symptoms are experienced by myself..

I have what you describe and more...I am diagnosed with CFIDS as of last year...it has gotten worse lately, but I have found some relief in Royal Jelly - specifically Royal Power & Royal Oil. Also, Aswaghanda pills too. I am taking 35 pills per day, and various powders & oils. Each supplement is targeted for a problem, and they seem to be helping, but it was the things mentioned above that brought me some real relief. The avg GP knows NOTHING about CFS/ME/CFIDS...they do oddly enough know what FM is and claim to be able to treat that...funny cause it is the same thing as CFS except with more pain. The two conditions often go hand in hand.

yeah i know i am quite resistant and protesting of allopathic apathy..it is acceptable to be given a broad definition diagnosis when they might not even have a clue what the individual suffers from, and the medicine contraindications really **** me off cos of the power of allopathy. and the common person accepts it as that, or nothing else will work, so that they lose hope when the allopathy fails to have some instant solution to long term problems or fails to seek another way to think and interact or use something inventive or time tested like natural medicine which can be used effectively and sometimes is a better solution because of little or no side effects because the complexity of nature has already been providing health for eons!! and they say it is unproved scientifically..so it is not trustworthy..
i love natural medicines...loooove them heaven sent!
