Use search engines to find out where and who the main CFS support groups in America are,preferably with branches in your area, and make contact with them.There has been a name change in America so search under terms like CFIDS .Then make contact with them ,and preferably join,and inquire what the protocols are with applying for social security benefits.Ask them if they have a list of doctors in your area that have knowledge of CFS.
Support groups are the best way to go because they have good local knowledge of these matters.
